  • What We Do

FWF implements integrated development programs that advance women’s and girls’ human rights, strengthen access to quality healthcare services, promote sustainable livelihoods, and build resilient communities in Tanzania. The organization works through community-based interventions, policy advocacy, capacity building and strategic partnerships with government institutions, civil society organizations and development partners.

FWF focuses on addressing structural inequalities that affect women, adolescent girls and vulnerable populations by promoting gender equality, strengthening health systems, improving economic opportunities and supporting climate-resilient development initiatives.

Through its programs, FWF empowers women and young people to claim their rights, participate in development processes and contribute to sustainable social and economic transformation.

  • Program Areas

FWF implements its work through three core program areas that respond to the most pressing challenges affecting women, girls, and vulnerable communities.

Through community engagement and policy dialogue, the program contributes to creating safe and supportive environments where women and girls can exercise their rights.

  • Primary Healthcare Services

This program focuses on improving access to essential healthcare services for women, adolescent girls and vulnerable populations, particularly in underserved communities.
