Institutional Governance and Oversight

leadership and effective oversight. The Board of Directors provides strategic guidance and ensures
that the organization operates in line with its mission, values and strategic plan. The Board also
monitors organizational performance, approves policies, and ensures financial and operational accountability.
The Executive Director and management team are responsible for implementing
programs, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Financial Accountability
FWF applies rigorous financial management systems to ensure responsible use of
resources. The organization maintains clear financial procedures for budgeting, procurement, expenditure
management, and financial reporting.
